What’s Inside Our Teddy Bears? Let’s Talk About Glass Pellets!

Today, we’d love to share a little fun fact about what’s inside our teddy bears.

Most of our bears are filled with soft stuffing, but did you know we also use glass pellets? These tiny glass beads are added to the hands, feet, or bottom of the bear to give them a nice weight and help them sit or stand properly.

Don’t worry when you hear "glass" — the pellets are safely packed inside small fabric bags, which are sewn securely into the bear. They’re also surrounded by soft stuffing and covered with fluffy fabric, so they won’t break, even if you drop the bear.

Even if the fabric ever tears (which is rare!), the tiny pellets might scatter, but they won’t shatter or break apart, so it’s completely safe.

Thanks to these glass pellets, your bear can sit up nicely or stand firmly (for our standing bears). So if you see "glass" listed in the materials, no need to be concerned — our bears are designed to be safe, even for children.

We hope this little behind-the-scenes detail makes you love your teddy even more. Please continue to care for and treasure your bear.
