By simply adding your personal touch, you can enhance your joy and connection, let us guide you in crafting a stylish neck accessory. It is simple and very quick to make, so please give it a try!
What to prepare
- Lace, enough to wrap around the neck
- Ribbon, enough to wrap around the length of the lace and tie into a bow
- Beads or anything else you would like to add.
- All you need is some craft glue or a needle and thread.
- A lighter to handle the ends of the ribbon would be perfect!
The ribbon is polyester grosgrain ribbon and the lace is linen lace. This one I created for Lab Bear with 15cm(5.9inch) of lace and 37cm(14.5inch) of ribbon.
For synthetic fiber ribbon, it's important to lightly sear the ends with a lighter to prevent fraying. Remember, safety first! Parental supervision is recommended when working with children.
Then, align and bond or sew together the ribbon and lace centers. Voila! A collar or tippet is created.
Change with new ribbons and lace, incorporate fabric to create a Halloween or Christmas cape. Perfect for dress-up. Have fun making different versions!
